Synopsis
To Hell and Back closes out the Dante Valentine series with its necromancer heroine returned to her own world after a literal ordeal in Hell itself, her body shattered and her mind not far behind, dumped back among the living to serve, or so Lucifer intends, as a pawn in one more of his endless infernal games. Rather than accept the role assigned to her, Dante emerges from her ordeal determined to turn the tables on the very forces that have manipulated her from the beginning of the series, channeling everything she has left, physical, magical, and otherwise, into confronting Lucifer on her own terms. Pushed past what should have broken her entirely, Dante sets out to make sure that, this time, the reckoning falls on the Devil rather than on her.
