Synopsis
In Raddith, the marshy Wilds along the coast are home to the Little Brothers, strange creatures who hand out curse eggs. Anyone holding an egg can lay one terrible curse on an enemy, and the curses take odd and cruel forms. Kellen is an Unraveller, one of the few people able to lift them. He travels with Nettle, a girl he once freed from a curse, helping victims and tracking down the people who cursed them. A Chancery official hires the two teenagers to look into a conspiracy led by a group of cursers who call themselves Salvation, and the search leads them deep into the Wilds. There they face ambushes, shifting loyalties and political scheming, and learn that Kellen himself has been cursed.
