Synopsis
In a remote, nearly forgotten corner of the Australian outback, Raba, a young Aboriginal girl, slips into the Dreamtime, the realm where the Ancestors keep their spiritual power, and gets a glimpse of how strong it is. A well-meaning missionary then takes her out of her community to rescue her, and she finds herself pulled between the traditional world she was born into and the one he represents. The clash between the two has disastrous consequences for her. To put things right, Raba must go back into the Dreamtime, calm the anger of the Ancestors and learn secrets that could save both her and her people. The story sets the ancient, otherworldly Dreamtime against the contemporary outback.
