Synopsis
Weaveworld is a dark fantasy novel centered on the Fugue, a hidden magical realm belonging to the Seerkind, a people distinct from humanity, who wove their world into the pattern of an ordinary carpet generations ago to protect it from both human persecution and a destructive force known as the Scourge. That carpet has been kept safe for years by an elderly woman in Liverpool, England, until her death sets its hidden contents in motion. Cal Mooney, an ordinary young man, glimpses the Fugue by chance and is drawn into its mystery, as is Suzanna Parrish, granddaughter of the carpet's former keeper.
