Kalayna Price's Alex Craft novels, published by Roc and Ace from 2010, follow Alex Craft, a grave witch in Nekros City who raises the dead to solve murders, consults for the police and works as a private investigator. Using her power takes a growing toll on her. As the series goes on she learns she is not fully human, and her fae heritage draws her into the politics of Faerie and its courts. Falin Andrews, a detective and later an agent of the Fae Investigation Bureau, works alongside her.
