Synopsis
Charlie Asher runs a secondhand shop in San Francisco, and his wife dies shortly after the birth of their daughter. Her death draws him into an unexpected job: he becomes responsible for collecting the souls of the dying and protecting them from dangerous forces in the underworld. He must now balance this duty with running his store and raising a newborn alone. Help comes from fellow collector Minty Fresh, his employees Ray and Lily and his sister Jane, while the villains the Morrigan and Orcus make the job dangerous and Detective Rivera begins to suspect him in a series of suspicious deaths.
