Synopsis
Jody, a young woman in San Francisco, is mugged and wakes up in a dumpster to find she has become a vampire. She sleeps through every day, so she needs help with the practical side of her new life, and she turns to Tommy Flood, an aspiring writer who works the night shift at a grocery store. Their arrangement grows into a romance. Then a string of strange killings begins, and Jody worries that the vampire who attacked her is responsible. To find out, the couple recruit Tommy's supermarket co-workers and an eccentric street figure who walks the city with his dogs. The story is a comedic supernatural romance, and it is the first of three novels about Jody and Tommy.
