Synopsis
October 'Toby' Daye is settling into life with a newborn daughter, remembering the ins and outs of motherhood and trying to balance her work with her wish to keep the baby safe at home, away from all the terrors Faerie has to offer. Things grow complicated as Raysel, the estranged daughter of Toby's liege lord, nears the end of her time living with Toby. Not even Raysel's mother Luna knows all the terrible secrets her father and his works hid from the world, nor can she protect her daughter from the monsters in their lineage, and Toby must race the clock to save Raysel before it is too late for her ever to come home.
