Synopsis

Silver and Lead is the nineteenth novel in the October Daye series. It opens with Toby, now heavily pregnant, taking on the search for a set of missing magical artifacts despite the physical complications of her condition, continuing her long-standing role as a knight errant even as she prepares for the arrival of her child. The investigation draws her back into the fae politics of the Kingdom of the Mists at a moment when she can least afford the usual risks of her work, forcing her to weigh her duty to recover the artifacts against the need to protect herself and the child she is carrying.
