Synopsis

Reyna and Kianthe, now settled into their quiet life running a bookshop-and-tea-shop in the dragon-country town of Tawney, are pulled back into adventure when they set out to secure a clutch of dragon eggs to help protect their adopted hometown. To obtain them, they must strike a deal with a local lord who demands something in return: the capture of Serina, a notorious river pirate who has been disrupting his supply chains along the coast. Reluctantly partnering with Bobbie, a hard-nosed constable determined to bring Serina to justice, the couple soon discovers that Bobbie and Serina share a complicated romantic history that threatens to derail the whole mission, leaving the dragon eggs, and Reyna's incorrigible matchmaking instincts, competing for attention as old feelings resurface between hunter and hunted.
