Synopsis

Kianthe and Reyna finally prepare for their long-awaited wedding in Tawney, only for the happy occasion to be complicated on every front: pirates crowd the town, Kianthe's estranged parents invite themselves to the ceremony, the baby dragons under the couple's care cause constant mayhem, and there is a real danger the tea itself might run out before the vows are said. Beneath the chaos lies a far more serious secret, as the wedding doubles as cover for an ambitious plot against the ruthless Queen Tilaine, drawing Kianthe, as the crown's reluctant and long-estranged heir, back into the political struggle she fled at the start of the series. Balancing personal happiness against duty to a realm she never wanted to rule, Kianthe leans on Reyna and their circle of friends to see both the wedding and the coup through to the end.

Notes

  • From the series record (Tomes & Tea): A completed four-book cozy fantasy series in which a queen's guard and a powerful mage leave their high-stakes lives behind to run a bookshop-and-tea-shop together, first self-published starting in 2022 before being picked up for a wider print release from 2024.
