Synopsis
Picking up directly from the cliffhanger of Tea You at the Altar, the fourth and final Tomes & Tea novel finds Reyna and Kianthe facing a mysterious alchemist who has begun conducting dangerous magic-draining experiments, attacking Reyna directly, threatening Kianthe's precious Stone of Seeing, and endangering the dragons the couple has sworn to protect. At the same time, their hometown of Tawney is grappling with a very different kind of pressure: a sudden influx of tourists drawn by the couple's growing fame, straining a once-quiet community that never asked to become a destination. As Reyna and Kianthe work to track down the alchemist responsible for the attacks, they are also forced to reckon with what their public reputation and relentless heroics actually mean for the ordinary people, and the town, they love.
