Synopsis
The seventh Landover novel centers on Mistaya Holiday, the teenage daughter of King Ben Holiday and the sylph Willow, who has been attending an exclusive private school on Earth to learn about the human world beyond her father's kingdom. After being suspended for a bit of magical mischief, she returns home to Landover against her father's wishes, and Ben proposes a constructive outlet for her restlessness: reorganizing Libiris, the kingdom's long-neglected royal library. That plan is upended when a marriage proposal from a powerful nobleman complicates Mistaya's life at court, prompting her to flee the palace and investigate strange happenings she has noticed within Libiris itself, a mystery that draws her deeper into the library's secrets than she expects.
