Synopsis
Set during the Christmas season in an alternate early twentieth-century England, A Scandal in Battersea continues the adventures of psychics Nan Killian and Sarah Lyon-White, working alongside Dr. John Watson and his wife Mary to investigate a troubling pattern of disappearances. Young women, including daughters of prominent families, are vanishing without explanation and later returning in states of apparent madness, with no memory that can account for the gap. As the holiday season proceeds around them, the investigators must trace the connection between the victims and identify the supernatural force responsible before more women are taken, drawing on both psychic detection and the Watsons' established Elemental magic to uncover a threat operating largely unnoticed beneath fashionable London society.
