Synopsis
After a séance in England, the philosopher Maskull accepts an invitation from the mysterious Krag to travel to Tormance, a world orbiting the star Arcturus. Maskull crosses a landscape of strange terrain, colours and creatures, and his body changes as he goes. Each region he visits and each person he meets embodies a different philosophy or state of mind, and he moves from one to the next in search of the meaning of reality, leaving violence in his wake.
