Synopsis

Aenir follows Tal and Milla as they journey into Aenir, a perilous dream world reached through the Castle's magic, in search of the Codex, an artifact believed to hold the power to determine the fate of both their worlds. Aenir offers no safety: a single misstep can mean entrapment or death, and the pair must make their way past hazards including cloud-formed Storm Shepherds, venomous Waspwyrms, and a menacing being called Hazror. With time working against them and the Codex's location uncertain, Tal and Milla must decide how much risk they are willing to take to retrieve it and escape Aenir before its dangers overwhelm them.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Seventh Tower): A completed 6-book middle-grade secondary-world fantasy sequence (Scholastic, 2000-2001), distinct from Garth Nix's Old Kingdom and Keys to the Kingdom universes: an unrelated setting split between the underground Castle and the sunlit surface world Aenir/the Veil.
