Synopsis
Drothe has been a member of the Kin for years, rubbing elbows with thieves and murderers in the employ of a crime lord while smuggling relics on the side. Ildrecca is a dangerous city, if you do not know what you are doing. When an old book falls into his hands, a relic any number of deadly people seem to be looking for, a book that just might bring down emperors and shatter the criminal underworld, Drothe has to use every trick of his trade as a Nose, an informant, to stay alive, and the more he sticks his nose into matters, the more he realises he is doomed. Douglas Hulick's debut, a David Gemmell Morningstar Award nominee in 2012.
