Synopsis
The Kin once known as Drothe is coming to terms with his recent advancement to a Gray Prince, one of the godfathers of Ildrecca's criminal underworld, and with the enemies it has brought him. When an offer comes, the only problem is that it is not for him; and, sworn to the Prince's Peace, his steel sheathed and his people held at bay, he is drawn into events that take him away from Ildrecca. Published by Roc in May 2014, three years after Among Thieves, the sequel closely follows its predecessor in tone and mood, saturated in shades of moral darkness and in the thieves' cant of the Kin.
