Synopsis
Polly O'Keefe travels to spend the autumn with her grandparents at their home in Connecticut, seeking a respite from her large family while pursuing advanced scientific study, still grieving the recent death of her mentor, Maximiliana Sebastiane Horne. While out walking near the house, she discovers she can slip through inexplicable disturbances in time to encounter people who lived in the same area three thousand years earlier, among them the druids Karralys and Anaral and the warrior Tav. When Zachary Gray, a charming but troubled young man from Polly's past, unexpectedly arrives and learns of her discovery, he becomes determined to seek out the ancient druids himself in hopes that they might heal his damaged heart, a decision that draws both of them further into the past.

- From the series record (Time Quintet): The five-book Time Quintet: A Wrinkle in Time and its direct sequels, following the Murry and O'Keefe children across cosmic/time travel adventures.
