Synopsis
And Eternity, the final volume of the series, follows three women brought together by loss: Jolie, a ghost who appeared in an earlier volume; Orlene, another ghost and the daughter of Orb; and Vita, a fifteen-year-old girl still living. Together they seek to restore the life of an infant lost to a birth defect, a quest that draws the attention of Nox, the Incarnation of Night, who offers to help them but demands valuable items gathered from the other Incarnations in return. Their search takes them across the offices of Fate, Time, War, Nature, Evil and Death, forcing the three women to confront the workings of each Incarnation up close.
