Synopsis

Naasir, the most feral member of Raphael's Seven, is sent to find a former Archangel of Persia who is lost in the Sleep of the Ancients, a long slumber from which archangels may not wake. The Archangel may be the target of a murder plot, and time is short. Naasir is paired with Andromeda, a scholar among the angels who has secrets of her own and who knows the old histories he needs. As they search, her path begins to pull her toward his darker, wilder world, and he is drawn toward her as well. Together they must stop an enemy who is willing to break the greatest taboo among the angelic race, before the plot succeeds and a danger far larger than either of them is released.
