Synopsis
Long ago Ardneh, a transcendent being, saved humanity from the archdemon Orcus in a battle of magic and technology that destroyed them both. Only a few people still believe the legends are true. Chance Rolfson, a young descendant of one of Ardneh's warriors, is troubled by vivid nightmares. He joins an expedition into uncharted forests to find proof that Ardneh existed and a prophesied vault said to hold the savior's secrets. The journey is dangerous, with bandits and demons that magic cannot stop. As his dreams grow clearer, Chance realizes they are visions, and that he may hold the key to Ardneh's greatest gift, known as Ardneh's Sword.
