Synopsis
Arkadien erwacht follows Rosa Alcantara, a teenager who travels to Sicily to stay with the wealthy family her mother left behind, the Alcantaras, who are deeply tied to the Cosa Nostra, and Alessandro Carnevare, a seventeen-year-old destined to lead his own powerful family. The Alcantaras and Carnevares have been bitter, feuding enemies for generations, their rivalry entangled with secrets that go well beyond ordinary organized crime and into something closer to myth. As Rosa is drawn into her family's world and into growing contact with Alessandro despite the enmity between their houses, she begins to uncover the hidden, supernatural dimension behind the families' age-old conflict, setting the stage for a forbidden connection neither family is prepared to accept.
