Synopsis

In the wake of the war brought on by the Sundering, the tiefling twins Farideh and Havilar mean to go with their adoptive father, the dragonborn Mehen, when he is called back by the clan that cast him out. Just as Mehen confronts the head of his former clan, a clutch of young dragonborn is found brutally murdered in the catacombs, near an infernal summoning circle that looks all too familiar to Farideh, and she is thrust into a fast-paced murder mystery rife with political intrigue. A direct follow-up to Fire in the Blood, the fourth book of Erin M. Evans's Brimstone Angels series.

Where it sits

Notes

  • Part of Brimstone Angels, a solo Erin M. Evans series following the tiefling warlock Farideh.
  • From the series record (Brimstone Angels): A 6-novel solo Erin M. Evans series (2011-2016) following the tiefling warlock Farideh. Book 3, The Adversary, is the same novel already Core-registered as Erin M. Evans's contribution to The Sundering -- it doubled as both works on original release and is not duplicated here; see The Sundering's own record. Only the first volume, Brimstone Angels, has an independently confirmable ISBN from the sources checked; books 2, 4, 5, and 6 are registered without one rather than guessed at.

Neighbouring works

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
