Synopsis
Beasts of War concludes the trilogy begun in Beasts of Prey, following Koffi and Ekon as the consequences of their earlier encounters with the Shetani and the god of death continue to reshape both their lives and the wider world drawn from African folklore that the series has built across its first two books. Building on Koffi's magical awakening and imprisonment at Thornkeep and Ekon's fugitive alliances formed while trying to reach her, the concluding volume brings the series' central conflicts, and the toll the hunt for the Shetani has taken on both protagonists, toward their resolution, without resolving here how the earlier books' unfinished dangers are ultimately settled.
