Synopsis

Blue Lily, Lily Blue is the third novel in the Raven Cycle and picks up the search for the sleeping king Glendower as Blue's mother, Maura, disappears into caves beneath Blue's family home while looking for Artemus, Blue's biological father. In the caves, the group discovers Gwenllian, the daughter of the historical Welsh king Glendower, entombed in stone. Meanwhile a new figure, Colin Greenmantle, infiltrates Aglionby Academy posing as a Latin teacher while secretly searching for the same object the Gray Man sought in the previous book. As Blue, Gansey, Ronan, Adam and Noah try to make sense of these new threats and the deepening mystery beneath Blue's home, their quest for the ley line's power grows more urgent and more dangerous.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
