Synopsis

Burn for Me introduces Nevada Baylor, a Houston private investigator who conceals a formidable magical gift as a Truthseeker, able to know when someone is lying. Running her family's struggling detective agency and desperate to protect her relatives from financial ruin, Nevada reluctantly accepts a lucrative but dangerous assignment: tracking down Adam Pierce, a young, uncontrolled fire mage who has gone rogue and is leaving a trail of destruction across the city. The case quickly pulls her into the orbit of Connor "Mad" Rogan, an immensely powerful and wealthy Prime hired for the same job, whose methods are as ruthless as his magic is overwhelming. As the search for Pierce escalates and Nevada's own hidden abilities begin to strain under pressure, she is forced into an uneasy, high-stakes partnership with Rogan, one that threatens to expose the secret her family has guarded for years.
