Ilona Andrews is the pen name of Ilona Gordon and Andrew Gordon, an American husband-and-wife writing team specializing in urban fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance. Ilona was born in the Soviet Union to scientist parents and attended the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Georgia on a full scholarship; Andrew was born in Florida and raised in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and served four years in the U.S. Navy as a communications officer. Their debut novel Magic Bites (2007) launched the Kate Daniels series, and they have since published over 40 novels and novellas across series including The Innkeeper Chronicles, Hidden Legacy, and the Maggie the Undying trilogy, now published by Tor Books.
