Overview
Two Ilona Andrews series in one world. The Edge (2009-2012) is the strip of land between the Broken, our mundane world of Wal-Marts and no magic, and the Weird, a world of magic, changelings and blueblood aristocracy; its four novels each follow a different couple of the Edger clans drawn into the Weird's espionage and wars. The Innkeeper Chronicles (2013-, in progress) follow Dina DeMille, innkeeper of the Gertrude Hunt, a sentient Victorian bed-and-breakfast in Texas that is secretly a way-stop for galactic travellers, with a werewolf from the stars and a vampire marshal among her regulars. The two series share a cast: George, Jack and Gaston of the Edge novels join the inn from Sweep in Peace on. A separate world from the authors' Kate Daniels and Hidden Legacy books; the Innkeeper books lean toward science fiction, a boundary noted at admission.
