Synopsis
Sapphire Flames opens a new trilogy in the Hidden Legacy world, several years after the events of Wildfire, and centers on Catalina Baylor, a Prime and Head of her House who has always been wary of relying on her own considerable powers. When the mother and sister of a close friend are brutally murdered, Catalina risks her safety, her family's fragile reputation, and the immunity House Baylor has worked hard to secure by launching her own investigation into the killings. Her inquiries draw the attention of Alessandro Sagredo, a dangerous Italian Prime with a formidable reputation and, unexpectedly, a connection to Catalina's own teenage past. As the murders point toward a wider conspiracy reaching into Houston's magical elite, Catalina must decide how openly she is willing to use her powers, and how much she can trust Alessandro, to protect the people she loves.
