Synopsis
Gin Blanco, the assassin known as the Spider, has just killed Mab Monroe, the Fire elemental who ran Ashland's underworld. Now every would-be criminal in the city wants to take her out, so Gin plans to escape with her younger sister, Bria, to a beach resort town. Their vacation is cut short when a powerful vampire with deadly elemental magic threatens an old friend of Bria's. Gin's former lover, Detective Donovan Caine, also reappears. The danger is closer than ever, and her Ice and Stone magic may not be enough to keep her alive. The novel is the sixth book in Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series, set in the city of Ashland.
