Synopsis
Morganville is a small college town where vampires and humans coexist uneasily. The arrival of Bishop, a cruel vampire who is searching for a lost book of vampire secrets, has upset that balance. He now controls the town, and as resistance to him grows he vows to destroy everyone in it. Claire Danvers and her friends Eve, Shane and Michael are among the few who stand in his way, and Claire finds herself working with the enemy in order to protect them. A possible cure for the condition that has marked the town's vampires comes to light, though it carries a heavy cost, and the book asks whether vampires will accept their old limits once they have tasted power.
