Synopsis

Children of the Night, the second Diana Tregarde novel, follows Diana as she is drawn into New York City's rock music scene while investigating a string of deaths connected to a musician's circle, sensing that something far more dangerous than ordinary crime lies behind them. As a witch and Guardian who has already faced down supernatural threats once before, Diana must use her magic and her wits to identify a predator hiding among the musicians and their fans, whose true nature draws on ancient and monstrous folklore rather than anything the police are prepared to investigate. Her search pulls her deeper into a world of ambition, fame and hidden danger where the killer's next target could be closer to Diana than she initially realizes.

Notes

  • From the series record (Diana Tregarde): Three core novels follow psychic romance-novelist/witch Diana Tregarde investigating supernatural threats. Assorted short stories, novellas and omnibus/collected editions of this series exist but are kept out of Core as supplementary material, not part of the numbered novel sequence, following the same precedent already applied to Emily Windsnap's companion material.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
