Synopsis
City of Fallen Angels is set some months after the events of City of Glass, following Simon Lewis as he adjusts to life as a vampire with the rare ability to walk in daylight, a status that draws the attention of a vampire faction leader named Camille even as his human mother grows increasingly suspicious of his changed behavior. Meanwhile Jace Herondale begins to withdraw from Clary, disturbed by recurring nightmares in which he harms her. Into this uneasy calm comes Lilith, a powerful demon pursuing a scheme that involves manipulating and possessing Jace and orchestrating a string of kidnappings, all aimed at forcing Simon to use his unique power for her own purposes. The novel follows the widening group of Shadowhunters and their allies as new mysteries and threats emerge in New York's supernatural underworld.
