Synopsis
Since nearly drowning as a young child, Cassidy Blake has been able to pull back the Veil that separates the world of the living from that of the dead, a rare and unsettling ability she keeps mostly to herself with the help of her ghostly best friend, Jacob, who has stayed by her side ever since her near-death experience. When her parents, hosts of a television show about haunted locations, bring the family to Edinburgh for a new round of filming, Cassidy encounters another girl who shares her unusual sensitivity to the dead, an encounter that forces Cassidy to confront questions about her ability, and what it might actually mean, that she has avoided facing until now.
