Synopsis
Decades after leading the Ten Thousand home from the Asurian Empire, Rictus is a hard-bitten, middle-aged mercenary captain who wants nothing more than a quiet farming life. But a young, ferociously gifted war-leader named Corvus -- rumoured not to be fully human -- is conquering and uniting the fractious Macht city-states by force, and seeks out Rictus's legendary name to help him claim absolute rule over their people.
