Synopsis
Gord, the Champion of Balance, travels with his companions into the demon-filled Abyss and the Celestial Sphere. His aim is to seize a magical key that could unleash Ultimate Evil on the whole cosmos. The masters of Time, Probability and Entropy also have a stake in how the conflict ends, so the struggle reaches far beyond the world of Oerth. This is the closing novel of the Gord the Rogue sequence that began in the slums of the city of Greyhawk.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

- Internal chronology, within Greyhawk: position 15 of 19: previous The Temple of Elemental Evil (2001) · next The Eyes Have It (1989)
