Synopsis
An ethnological expedition returns from Mongolia with an astonishing claim: some humans have the power to turn into animals. Before its spokesman can present his proof at a press conference, he dies of a sudden seizure. His friend, the journalist Will Barbee, suspects fellow expedition member April Bell and starts to investigate. As he digs, Barbee learns of a hidden history in which humans once defeated a population of shapechanging werewolves, and that the survivors still live concealed among ordinary people.
