Overview
Darker Than You Think is a 1948 novel by Jack Williamson, published by Fantasy Press, expanded from a novella that appeared in Unknown in 1940. An ethnological expedition to Mongolia announces that some humans can turn into animals, but its spokesman dies at a press conference before showing his proof. Journalist Will Barbee, a friend of the dead man, suspects expedition member April Bell and begins to investigate. He uncovers a hidden history in which humans once defeated shapechanging werewolves whose survivors still live among them. It is a standalone novel.
