Synopsis
Half-human Cal Leandros and his brother Niko are barely getting by with their preternatural investigation agency when the vampire Seamus hires them: he is being followed, and he wants to know by whom. But the brothers have to do far more than they planned when Seamus turns up dead. Worse still is the return of Cal’s nightmarish family, the Auphe; the last time the brothers faced them they were almost wiped out, and now the Auphe want revenge. Cal knows that before they come for him they will destroy everything and everyone he holds dear, while the past of the vampire Promise, Niko’s partner, comes to the surface.
