Synopsis

The Ice People's living descendants gather for a single night with departed ancestors, including figures from long before Tengel the Good and Silje's time. Long-hidden family secrets come out, among them the true nature and age of two central family spirits, revealed to predate the family's own origins. The volume also expands on the saga's volcano and fire-demon lore and introduces a new generation of children and their guardians.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Legend of the Ice People): The original 47-volume saga (1982-1989) following the cursed Ice People clan across generations of Scandinavian history, marked by inherited supernatural gifts, a medallion-bound curse, and (in its later volumes) an underground kingdom where time itself runs differently. Two later continuations exist (a further ~35 volumes across two more parts, published years afterward) and are not yet catalogued here pending closer genre review.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
