Synopsis

The fortieth book of The Legend of the Ice People, published in Swedish as Fångad av tiden and in English as Imprisoned by Time. Tova Brink is one of the most stricken of the Ice People, the descendants cursed by Tengel the Evil: her appearance makes people turn away in disgust and call her a witch. Yet she has been chosen to take part in the family's battle against Tengel the Evil, alongside Nataniel, who is to lead it. But Tova has other plans. Her only joy in life is making life difficult for others, and nothing would come more naturally to her than to side with Tengel the Evil.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Legend of the Ice People): The original 47-volume saga (1982-1989) following the cursed Ice People clan across generations of Scandinavian history, marked by inherited supernatural gifts, a medallion-bound curse, and (in its later volumes) an underground kingdom where time itself runs differently. Two later continuations exist (a further ~35 volumes across two more parts, published years afterward) and are not yet catalogued here pending closer genre review.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
