Synopsis
Some twenty years after the events of Die Schlacht der Trolle, the land between the mountains has broken apart into rival kingdoms. The trolls, who in the first two books taught dwarves, magicians and elves to fear them, want a lasting peace, and their leader once again seeks the help of the humans, turning to his old ally Sten. But besides fighting, treachery is at work, and a long journey lies ahead for trolls and humans alike, in the novel that closed the original trilogy.
