Synopsis
In the magical world of Erdwelt, elves, humans and orcs are moving toward war. Hope of stopping it rests on three unusual young novices. Their journey takes them to a fortress in the eternal ice, where they face danger, betrayal and love. The novel opens a trilogy about the wizards of Erdwelt and sets up the conflict that the later volumes, Die erste Schlacht and Das dunkle Feuer, carry forward.
