Synopsis

Dragon Rider: The Griffin's Feather is the second novel in the Dragon Rider series, set some years after the first book. Ben, now living with the Greenbloom family at a sanctuary they founded for endangered and mythical creatures in Norway, discovers that three young winged horses born at the sanctuary are gravely ill and close to death, threatening the survival of their already vanishingly rare species. The only known cure is a feather from a griffin, a fierce creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion that has traditionally been a bitter enemy of dragons. Ben and his silver dragon companion, Firedrake, volunteer to seek out a griffin and obtain the feather, a mission that takes them far from Norway to a sweltering, unfamiliar jungle where they must find a way to approach creatures known for their hostility toward dragons.
