Synopsis
The wave of killings in Mexico City carries on, and Sergio Mendhoza endures an ordeal that puts his survival at risk. The events force him to confront a part of his family history that was hidden from him until now. The title refers to the call of a bloodline, and the story links Sergio's ancestry to the older conflict between heroes and demons in which he serves as a mediator. The novel keeps the tense mix of suspense and horror used in the earlier volumes while widening the circle of characters involved in the struggle.
