Synopsis
Pianists are being murdered across Mexico City, and each victim is found alone inside a sealed room. Sergio Mendhoza, who is beginning to understand his role in a hidden conflict between heroes and demons, is drawn into the case. The ashes of a nocturne attributed to Franz Liszt lead him toward a cursed musical composition that appears to be tied to the killings. He and his companions have little time to trace the piece to its source, because more than his own life is at risk. The novel continues the horror and mystery of the first book and moves the series deeper into its supernatural background.
