Synopsis

In contemporary Mexico City, a killer is abducting children. Their families receive bones and bloodied clothes, but the skulls are never returned. Lieutenant Guillén leads the hunt, while the story also follows Nicte, the kidnapper. Sergio Mendhoza, a reserved teenager who wears a prosthetic leg after a childhood accident and plays drums, becomes involved through his sharp eye for detail and his friends Brianda and Jop. A stranger named Farkas begins messaging him, claiming he has a mission, and steers him toward a book describing how heroes once held power over demons. Sergio sees ghostly apparitions and slowly realises that forces beyond the human world are connected to the crimes. As the murders multiply, he starts to learn what his own destiny might be.
