Synopsis
Elementary is a second anthology set in Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters world, inviting other authors to contribute new short stories exploring the series' fantasy version of turn-of-the-century London, where Fire, Water, Air, and Earth Masters practice magic loosely inspired by classic fairy tales. As with the earlier Elemental Magic anthology, the collection widens the setting beyond Lackey's own novel-length storylines, giving other writers room to develop minor characters, alternate locations, and standalone incidents consistent with the established magic system. The stories are not required to connect directly to the events of the mainline novels, offering readers additional entry points into the world's rules and history through shorter, self-contained narratives.
