Synopsis

A reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood, Blood Red follows Rosamund, an Earth Master living in the Schwarzwald, the Black Forest of Germany, who specializes in hunting dangerous magical creatures that threaten local communities. When mysterious murders begin occurring across the border in Transylvania, Rosamund is asked to travel there and investigate, a task that forces her to confront her own deep-seated prejudices against werewolves when she is compelled to work alongside a hereditary werewolf to find the true culprit. As the investigation unfolds, Rosamund must set aside her assumptions and learn to trust an ally she would once have hunted on sight, while tracking a threat whose true nature proves more complicated than either of them first suspects.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Elemental Masters): Loosely connected fairy-tale retellings unified by a shared elemental-magic system rather than a continuous cast.
